PTS US Palm AK Battlegrip for AEG overview

Hello in this entry is going to be the review of the PTS US Palm battle grip for AK AEG, I was really excited to get these for my airsoft AKs because these are the first aftermarket AK grip that is made for AEG AND it's the closest thing you can get to a Magpul style AK pistol grip.

What's included
The AK battlegrip comes in a nice clear pre-shaped plastic packaging with paperback on it, it will come with the battle grip itself and two spare allen screws to put it on. The two screws that it came with are of long and short sizes to ensure that it will fit in most version 3 gearbox motor cages.

First impression
this grip fits really nice, it is made out of a very duable polymer and the shape makes it feel really good on your hand. The grip is also been stippled for a very textured feel. The grip also have vents on the bottom to let out excessive heat from the motor during firing and operation which is another nice thing about this grip. Sadly these doesn't seem to be compatible with TM style AK receiver.

Installation
This is probably the AK Battlegrip's biggest downfall, On my Echo 1 AK Bolt, because of where the pong is located, I have to modify the selector cam quite a bit in order to install and still be able to put the gun on safe. The grip on the other fits my CYMA CM040 perfectly without any modification, however it does interfere with the cam just a little bit.

Conclusion
Overall the US Palm AK battlegrip is an welcoming addition to the airsoft AK minority, the grip is made out of a durable material and feels really nice in your hand. I kind of wish PTS would move the pong forward about a few centimeter forward so I can install it without having it interfering with the selector cam. Like all airsoft accessories out there, it will have compatibility issue with certain AK model and might require some dremeling or tooling in order to get it to fit.
